We’re here to help.

Last updated July 31, 2026

Fennic is a small, calm app — a daily verse, word, devotional, or quote on your lock screen, with reflections and gentle review. If something isn’t working or you have a question, this page covers the common ones, and a real person is one email away.

Need a hand?

Email hello@fennic.app and we’ll get back to you, usually within a couple of days. It helps to tell us your device (e.g. iPhone 15), your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened.

Getting startedAdding Fennic to your lock screen

Fennic’s daily content shows up in lock screen and home screen widgets. Open the app once first so it can prepare today’s content, then:

  1. Touch and hold your lock screen, then tap CustomizeLock Screen.
  2. Tap the widget area below the clock and choose Fennic.
  3. Pick the size you’d like and tap away to save.

Home screen widgets work the same way: touch and hold the home screen, tap +, and search for Fennic. Tap any Fennic widget to open that exact item in the app.

Fennic PlusManaging your subscription

Fennic Plus is optional — the daily rhythm is free forever. Plus is billed by Apple through your Apple Account, and you manage or cancel it there at any time:

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Fennic, then change or cancel your plan.

Canceling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.

Restore purchasesPlus isn’t showing up

New phone, or reinstalled the app? Your subscription follows your Apple Account. In Fennic, go to Settings → Fennic Plus → Restore Purchases while signed into the same Apple Account you bought it with. If it still doesn’t unlock, email us and we’ll sort it out.

Your dataExport or erase everything

Your favorites, progress, and reflections live on your device (and sync privately through your own iCloud, if you use it). You’re always in control:

We never receive the text of your reflections or which items you read. See the Privacy page for the full picture.

Reminders & audioNotifications and read-aloud

Daily reminders are local to your device — turn them on and set a time in Settings → Notifications. If you don’t see them, check that notifications are allowed for Fennic in the iOS Settings app.

Tap Listen on any item to hear it read aloud. Fennic uses the voices already on your device; you can pick a voice in Settings → Audio, and download higher-quality voices from iOS Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices.

ContentToday’s item looks wrong or missing

Fennic works offline, and fetches new content in the background from content.fennic.app. If a widget looks stale, open the app to refresh it. If something seems off in a verse or definition, tell us — we fix content quickly.

Still stuck?

Email hello@fennic.app and a real person will read it. We’d rather hear from you than have you give up on something small.
