Fennic

Privacy

Your quiet space stays yours.

Last updated July 28, 2026

Fennic is built to be a calm daily habit — Scripture, words, devotionals, and your own reflections. It asks for as little of you as possible. No account, no profile, nothing sold. This page explains, plainly, what the app does and doesn’t do with your information.

The short version.

No sign-in. Your favorites, progress, and reflections live on your device (and, if you use iCloud, sync privately through your own iCloud account — we can’t see them). The only thing the app ever sends us is a small stream of anonymous, non-identifying usage counts, which you can switch off in Settings.

No accountNothing to sign into

Fennic has no login and no user accounts. We don’t ask for your name, email, phone number, or date of birth, and we don’t build a profile of you. The one exception is if you choose to email us — then we’ll have whatever you write in that message.

Your contentYour reflections and progress belong to you

Everything you create in Fennic — favorites, learning streaks, spaced-repetition progress, and the reflections you write — is stored on your device. If you’re signed into iCloud, that data syncs across your own devices through Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit), inside your private iCloud account.

Fennic has no server that stores your personal library, and we never receive the text of your reflections or which verses you read. Those never leave your device and your own iCloud.

AnalyticsAnonymous, and off with one tap

To learn which features actually help people — and which to fix — the app can send a small set of predefined events, for example “opened an item” or “finished a quiz.” These carry:

You can turn analytics off entirely in Settings → Privacy. When it’s off, nothing is recorded or sent.

ContentGetting the daily words

The app downloads its daily content — verses, words, devotionals — from our content service at content.fennic.app. These are ordinary requests to fetch files. We don’t use them to track you, and Fennic contains no advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.

Fennic PlusPurchases go through Apple

Fennic Plus is an optional subscription. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — Fennic never sees or stores your card or payment details. Whether you’re a subscriber is kept on your device to unlock Plus features.

NotificationsLocal reminders

Daily reminders are scheduled on your device and only appear if you allow notifications. Fennic doesn’t run a service that pushes marketing to you. (Apple’s iCloud uses its own background notifications to keep your data in sync — that’s Apple’s service, not ours.)

ChildrenNot directed to young children

Fennic isn’t directed to children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from them. Because there’s no account and the analytics are anonymous, the app doesn’t gather identifying data from anyone.

ChangesIf this policy changes

If we update how the app handles data, we’ll revise this page and change the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
